Young Business Forum Mentoring Program – University Melbourne
What is the YBF?
The Young Business Forum (YBF) operates as part of the Australia Israel Chamber of Commerce and is Australia’s leading networking organisation for young professionals, business leaders and entrepreneurs. The YBF’s mission is to motivate, educate and connect tomorrow’s leaders and promote bilateral trade between Australia and Israel.
We partner with leading Australian and global businesses to deliver exceptional events and leadership development opportunities to our members. The YBF has over 1200 members aged between 25-39. The YBF offers its members access to a range of exclusive networking events, mentoring and resources as they develop into Australia’s future business leaders.
What is the YBF Mentoring Program?
The YBF Mentoring Program has been designed to provide participants with a life changing opportunity to grow and develop. The YBF Mentoring program is unique in its three-tiered approach. Each mentoring team consists of a student, a young professional and a senior executive from across industry sectors. Members of the mentoring teams are expertly matched to one another to ensure a good fit.
Participants develop a close relationship with each other, form connections, share experiences, gain business knowledge and develop a variety of qualities such as leadership, communication and decision-making. Due to the overwhelming success of the 2015 YBF Mentoring Program, in which 60 talented individuals participated, demand is expected to be strong for our 2016 YBF Mentoring Program, so please apply as soon as possible.
We have learnt from the 2014 and 2015 Programs and have finely tuned the 2016 Program to ensure it is even bigger and better than before!
What Past Participants Say:
“Through a unique combination of direct mentoring as well as workshop style sessions, the YBF Mentoring Program was invaluable in helping me develop both professionally and personally. My mentors, through sharing their own experiences were instrumental in guiding me to make significant decisions and develop greater clarity around my professional pathway.”
Ari Dancziger, Bachelor of Commerce, Monash University
“Many young professionals are seeking senior mentors – this program does just that. The YBF mentoring program uses customised personality assessments to pair you with senior industry leaders and provides an environment for that relationship to grow. Personally, I know those bonds will far outlast the length of the formal 6 month program.”
Gil Grinberg, Director, Deloitte
“The YBF Mentoring facilitates an excellent mix of structured and unstructured meetings and opportunities for participants. Participants get access to the experience and expertise of their mentors; and mentors can tap into what is important to the future leaders of their organisations.”
